Standing up for what matters to you.

Who I am

My name is Tara Murray, and I’m running to represent the new 104th District.

I was born and raised in North County, and I have lived in St. Peters for more than 15 years. I am a wife, mother, and as of recently a grandmother!

I’m proud of the place we call home, and want nothing more than to help build a community where all of our kids (and grandkids) can thrive.

What I stand for

I am a seasoned educator, a proud Democrat, a grassroots activist, and devoted community member. I’ve been a teacher for more than 30 years, and have worked tirelessly to support the right of every child to a quality education. As an MNEA representative and campaign volunteer veteran, I advocate for educators, students, and community empowerment.

I’ve had enough of the bickering and dysfunction in our state capitol, while regular people and their families get left behind. As your State Representative, I will prioritize public education, workers' rights, and personal freedoms, aiming for equity and prosperity in Missouri.

Put simply, I’ll work hard to make Jefferson City work for you.
